ACE Limited CEO to Speak at Goldman Sachs Conference; Remarks to Reference Brandywine Loss Reserves Studies; No Financial Charge

HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE) announced today that Evan Greenberg, ACE Limited President and Chief Executive Officer, will speak at the Goldman Sachs Financial Services CEO Conference in New York City tomorrow, December 12. Mr. Greenbergs remarks will reference the completion of the Companys annual internal review and biennial external review of its Brandywine run-off loss reserves, including asbestos and environmental liabilities, resulting in no financial charge.

Details on the specific findings of the reviews will be announced later this week.

The Companys annual internal review of Brandywine loss reserves includes an extensive ground-up evaluation of its direct asbestos and environmental gross and ceded exposures. In addition, a biennial review is conducted by an independent actuarial consulting firm, as required by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, as a condition of the 1996 Brandywine restructuring order.
