ACE USA Appoints John Nilson as Senior Vice President, Western Region for ACE Risk Management

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced it has appointed John Nilson to the position of Senior Vice President, Western Region for ACE Risk Management® (ARM). Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Nilson will oversee ARM branch operations for the Western Region, working with brokers in managing new business development and underwriting activities and serving middle and large account commercial customers. Mr. Nilson will report jointly to Ken Riegler, Executive Vice President and Operating Officer, ARM Commercial Accounts and Jay Lefkowitz, Executive Vice President and Operating Officer, ARM National Accounts.

This appointment acknowledges Johns accomplishments, contributions and proven track record in working with local brokers and clients to help them better understand ARMs broad range of products and services, said Mr. Lefkowitz.

Mr. Riegler added, Johns prior experience in serving the Houston and Los Angeles regions in the middle market and large-risk arena makes him well-positioned to support ARMs continued growth in this market.

Mr. Nilson joined ACE USA in July 1999 as an Underwriter for ARM in its Los Angeles Branch. With more than 14 years of experience in the insurance arena with a particular focus on serving clients with large casualty programs, Mr. Nilson began his insurance career with an ACE predecessor organizationCIGNA Special Risk Facilities--in Houston, TX. For ACE USA Mr. Nilson has held various positions in underwriting, business development and management in ARM and for the Excess Casualty unit of ACE Casualty Risk. Mr. Nilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and a M.B.A. in Finance from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
