ACE USA Appoints Deborah Alleyne as Senior Vice President, to Lead National Excess Workers Compensation Unit for ACE Risk Management

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced it has appointed Deborah L. Alleyne to the position of Senior Vice President, Excess Workers Compensation for ACE Risk Management® (ARM). Centralized in Philadelphia, Ms. Alleyne will oversee national underwriting for ARMs dedicated Excess Workers Compensation unit, working with both retail brokers and wholesalers in managing new business development and underwriting activities, and serving national and commercial accounts. Ms. Alleyne will report directly to Bill Curcio, President of ACE Risk Management and will be responsible for managing stand-alone Excess Workers Compensation programs as well as ARMs Texas Employers Excess Indemnity and Retention/Clash product offerings.

This appointment acknowledges Deborahs accomplishments and contributions to ACE Risk Management. Deborah has been instrumental in the product development and continued success of our Texas Employers Excess Indemnity product. We have every expectation that she will continue to serve the retail broker and wholesaler community with focus and expertise, said Mr. Curcio.

Ms. Alleyne joined ACE USA in July 1994 (its predecessor company CIGNA Special Risk Facilities) as a Home Office Underwriter for ARM in Philadelphia. Ms. Alleyne joined the Excess Workers Compensation unit in January 2003 at its inception and assumed the Underwriting Manager position within a year. Ms. Alleyne began her insurance career with ACE predecessor organization Insurance Company of North America (INA) in 1977 in the underwriting program and subsequently spent several years at AIG and Home Insurance, among other major carriers, prior to joining ACE. With 30 years of experience in the insurance arena with a particular focus on large accounts underwriting, Ms. Alleyne has a keen understanding of the marketplace and the service needed to differentiate ARM from its competitors.

Ms. Alleyne received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Masters of Science degree in Insurance Management from Boston University. Ms. Alleyne holds professional designations for the following: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Risk Management (ARM); Associate in Reinsurance (ARe); Associate in Management (AIM); and, Associate in Research and Planning (ARP).
