ACE Appoints Douglas Reynolds to Head International Personal Lines and SME Business
Sep 8, 2008

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The ACE Group of Companies announced today the appointment of Douglas Reynolds as head of international personal lines and small-to-medium enterprise (SME) business. Mr. Reynolds will be responsible for expanding ACEs presence in the personal lines and SME markets, focusing primarily in the Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions.

Mr. Reynolds joins ACE from Horace Mann Insurance Company, where he was Executive Vice President - Insurance Operations. He will report to John Keogh, Chief Executive Officer for ACE Overseas General, the companys international property and casualty insurance division.

Doug brings a wealth of insurance industry knowledge and management experience to this role, said Mr. Keogh. Given the burgeoning business and entrepreneurial environment in many emerging economies of the world, I am confident that under Dougs leadership we will successfully marshal our capabilities and expertise to profitably grow our SME and personal lines business throughout our regions.

In his most recent assignment with Horace Mann, Mr. Reynolds had responsibility for property and casualty, which included pricing, underwriting and claims; the life and annuity division; and client services for all business lines including call centers and sales and marketing functions. Prior to Horace Mann, Mr. Reynolds was with AIG, first as Chief Operating Officer - Personal Lines International, and later as Regional Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - Southeast Asia Region. He began his insurance career with Allstate, where during his 23-year tenure he rose through the ranks with positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Reynolds holds a bachelors degree in marketing and business management from Valparaiso University.
