ACE USA Announces Changes to Executive Management Team

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group of Companies, today announced several executive appointments in its Casualty Risk, Regional Operations and Canadian divisions. These appointments complement ACE USAs seasoned management team and will enhance the companys ability to execute on its underwriting and distribution strategies for the future.

Chris Maleno has been named President, ACE Casualty Risk. In this role, Mr. Maleno will be responsible for executing strategic business plans for ACE Casualty Risk including the lead umbrella and excess liability, custom casualty, public entity, construction, workers compensation and environmental liability insurance products. Mr. Maleno brings over 20 years of diverse experience in the insurance arena to his new role. Prior to joining ACE in 2007 as President, ACE USA Regional Operations, he held several senior leadership positions in casualty underwriting and regional operations management within the industry.

Joseph Clabby has been appointed President, ACE USA Regional Operations. Mr. Clabby will have responsibility for driving distribution strategies on a national and regional basis as well as expanding ACE USAs product and marketing presence at the local level. In addition, he will assume day-to-day leadership of ACE USA's regional executive management team. Mr. Clabby has more than 20 years of experience in banking, brokerage and insurance underwriting. He joined ACE in 2001 and has held several executive management roles within the company, most recently President of ACE USA West.

David Brosnan will be named Chief Executive Officer of ACE Canada. In this role, Mr. Brosnan will be responsible for the success of ACEs property and casualty, accident and health and life insurance businesses in Canada. This appointment is contingent upon obtaining a work permit from Citizenship & Immigration Canada. Mr. Brosnan has been with ACE since 2005, serving most recently as President, ACE Casualty Risk and brings more than 20 years of insurance industry expertise. Prior to joining ACE, he held a senior leadership role with Chubb Insurance Company of Europe. Timothy ODonnell, President, ACE Professional Risk, remains Chairman of ACE Canada.

Karen Barkley will assume the role of Chief Operations Officer of ACE Canada, and President of ACE Canadas Property and Casualty business. Ms. Barkley will oversee underwriting, marketing and operations for ACEs property and casualty lines as well as claims, and systems initiatives for ACE Canada. Ms. Barkley joined ACE in 1992 and brings over 30 years of experience in the Canadian insurance marketplace.
