Feb 20, 2009

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Westchester, the U.S.-based wholesale-focused property and casualty operation of the ACE Group of Companies, today launched a new audio podcast discussing the ACE Westchester Environmental underwriting unit and the unique products and services it provides. In the podcast, Barbara Deas, Senior Vice President, ACE Westchester Environmental, provides an informative overview of the full range of environmental products this specialized underwriting unit offers to the wholesale broker community, a discussion of the ACE Westchester Environmental distribution model, and other key risk management features and solutions available for insureds.

Commenting on the evolution of the ACE Westchester Environmental unit and its key product offerings, Ms. Deas said, “As a result of our ongoing discussions with wholesale brokers, we constantly seek new product solutions and innovation to enable them to bring added value to their retail network of agents. We offer environmental products that are valuable to all types of businesses. Our offerings include Contractors Pollution Liability, Premises Pollution Liability, Products Pollution Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Excess Liability as well as Business Auto coverages.”

In the podcast, Ms. Deas also discusses the breadth of underwriting and claims expertise in ACE Westchester Environmental and the unit’s underwriting presence in six ACE Westchester offices throughout the United States that allows them to provide timely service to the division’s expansive distribution network of wholesale brokers.

“The ability to offer a variety of products ranging from stand-alone pollution coverage to ‘one-stop’ shopping for policies that package various coverages enhances the wholesale broker’s value in the transaction,” said Ms. Deas. “In addition, environmental products fill certain coverage gaps for insured clients and protect them against financial loss resulting from a pollution condition covered by the terms and conditions of the policy.”
