PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, today announced that Senior Vice President William P. Hazelton will participate in a panel session addressing the critical aspects of environmental insurance, and its role as a risk management tool at a New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) event on October 29, 2010, in New York City. As a leading provider of global environmental liability insurance, ACE has published several related Progress Reports^SM on the topic that Mr. Hazelton co-authored, including “Global Environmental: Debunking the Myth, Not Just Third-Party Insurance” released in April 2010, and “Contractors, Consultants Face Increasingly Strict Environmental Laws,” to be released in November. WHAT: The New York Bar Association Panel on Emerging Issues in Environmental Insurance is an intermediate to advanced level course that has been approved for four Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credits in New York.* This event is co-sponsored by the NYBA Environmental Law Section - Environmental Insurance Committee, the NYSBA Committee on Continuing Legal Education, and the New York Chapter of The Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS). Given renewed emphasis on enforcement of environmental laws and regulations at all levels of government, this session offers attorneys a better understanding of the increasing environmental risks and loss exposure their clients may face, and solutions available in the market.
