PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of the ACE Group, today announced the appointment of Jim Shevlin as Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for ACE USA’s Southeast Region, and Tim Rau as Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for the Southwest Region.
Mr. Shevlin and Mr. Rau will be responsible for setting and driving the overall strategic direction for these two regions. They will also oversee the regional production plans, distribution, product sales and marketing, producer management, staff management, and general operations in the Southeast and the Southwest.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., ACE USA’s Southeast region comprises North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Based in Dallas, TX, the Southwest Region includes northern Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico.

Mr. Shevlin most recently served as Senior Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for ACE USA’s Southwest Region. In this new role, Mr. Shevlin will return to Atlanta, where he previously led ACE USA’s efforts to expand its presence in the middle market segment in the Southeast. He joined ACE in 2002 as a member of the management team responsible for overseeing sales and account management for a division that marketed voluntary insurance products and services to Fortune 1000 clients.
Tim Rau joined ACE USA in 2004 and served most recently as Senior Vice President and Branch Manager for ACE Risk Management’s Dallas and Houston branches. Based in Dallas, he brings to this position more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, and a background in managing national risk management accounts.
