LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE today announced a number of senior appointments across its Northern regional offices, strengthening considerably its property, casualty and accident and health insurance underwriting and business development capabilities. The seven appointments include five in the Manchester branch and one each in Leeds and Newcastle.
Joining ACE’s Manchester office are Mark Ellison, as Business Development Manager; Paul Steventon as Casualty Underwriting Manager; and Stuart Chamberlain as Senior Casualty Underwriter.
Chris Boden has joined the Leeds branch as Business Development Manager.
Ian McIntire has been appointed Senior Package Underwriter at ACE’s Newcastle branch.
Recent regional appointments, based in Manchester office, include Jeff Hobson as Northern Property and Casualty Manager, where he will be manage and develop property, casualty, technical and environmental business for the Northern region; and Penny Grainge as Northern eCommerce Business Development Manager responsible for the development of the ACE Online platform.

Mark Ellison spent the past seven years as Broker Development Manager for the North of England at RSA.
Paul Steventon has more than 20 years’ experience in casualty underwriting in the Liverpool, London and Manchester markets. He joins from Tokio Marine where he was Senior Casualty Underwriter and has worked also with Commercial Union, Independent and CNA in regional underwriting roles.
Stuart Chamberlain has been in the insurance industry for 15 years, including ten years underwriting Casualty at DA Constable Syndicate and QBE and the last two years with Liberty as Senior Casualty Underwriter.
Jeff Hobson has more than 20 years’ industry experience working for both insurers and brokers including Chartis, Aon, JLT and, most recently, at Willis as Regional Managing Director for Leeds.
Chris Boden’s move to ACE follows four and a half years at Allianz Insurance in its Leeds commercial development team and latterly as General Commercial Business Developer servicing brokers in the Yorkshire region.
Ian McIntire has more than 16 years’ experience in the insurance industry, working across the North East. Prior to joining ACE, he opened MMA’s Newcastle office, where he was responsible for generating new business, and has also worked for NIG in Newcastle and Glasgow in underwriting and new business development roles.
Penny Grainge has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years and brings specialist E-trade expertise. Before joining ACE she worked for AXA as a Connectivity Account Manager.
