NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Life today announced the appointment of Kevin Goulding as Regional President for its Asia Pacific life insurance businesses. He will be responsible for managing ACE’s life insurance operations in Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Taiwan. Mr. Goulding had been President and Chief Executive Officer of Chartis Insurance Company China Limited, a unit of American International Group (AIG). He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Russell Bundschuh, President, ACE Life.

Over 13 years with AIG, Mr. Goulding held several senior management positions in the property and casualty and life insurance businesses, including Agency Project Director at ALICO, the company’s life insurance unit, where he led initiatives to provide group life and health products through the life agency force, and as Agency Director in Argentina, where he developed the life agency force and broker distribution. In 2005, he was named General Manager of AIG Taiwan, and in 2007 was appointed President and CEO of American Home Assurance Company – Singapore, a role that expanded to include responsibility for Vietnam and Thailand. He began his insurance career in 1988 as an agent with Allstate and advanced through sales management roles including District Sales Manager in the New York area. Mr. Goulding holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.
