ACE Tempest Re International Appoints David Mann as Senior Underwriter for Structured and Medical Malpractice Reinsurance

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Tempest Re International, the international reinsurance division of the ACE Group, today announced the appointment of David Mann to the role of Senior Underwriter, Structured and Medical Malpractice Reinsurance.

David is currently Senior Underwriter, Structured Reinsurance for ACE Tempest Re International. In his new role, he will have responsibility for the performance and development of medical malpractice reinsurance accounts within ACE Tempest Re International and will continue to oversee the structured account outside the US, underwritten out of London. He replaces Andrew Innes, who is retiring after 33 years at ACE. The appointment is effective 1 January 2013 and David will continue to be based in London and to report to Steve Roberts.

David brings to the role more than 15 years of underwriting experience in US and international casualty treaty reinsurance, including medical malpractice treaty on both a traditional and structured basis. Prior to joining ACE, he was an underwriter of worldwide structured reinsurance and US casualty treaty reinsurance at Aspen Re in Bermuda. Previously, he underwrote US casualty treaty and international casualty treaty at Aspen Re in the London market and at Lloyd’s.
