ACE Private Risk Services Strengthens Its National Claims and Operations Capabilities with Key Executive Appointments

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Group today announced new executive appointments in its high net worth personal lines insurance business, ACE Private Risk Services, naming Clyde Douglas as Senior Vice President, Claims, and Eileen Castolene as Vice President of Operations.

Based in Salem, VA, Mr. Douglas will be responsible for overseeing the Claims operations related to ACE Private Risk Services’ specialized home, auto, recreational marine, valuable collections, and umbrella liability insurance, which are sold through a national network of independent agents and brokers. He will report jointly to Mary Boyd, Division President, ACE Private Risk Services, and Frank Lattal, Senior Vice President, Chief Claims Officer, ACE Group.

He has a strong track record of accomplishments in leading large Claims organizations and responding to the needs of high net worth clients when they need our help most. Mr. Douglas joins ACE from a national personal insurance carrier, where he served as the Chief Claims Officer. With nearly twenty years of insurance claims experience, Mr. Douglas has held a variety of leadership positions in the U.S. and Canada while working at four leading insurance companies. Prior to entering the insurance industry, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard for eight years. He is a graduate of Chapman’s School of Seamanship, located in Stuart, FL, and the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Law Enforcement School, located in Charleston, SC.

Mr. Lattal added, “In addition to his deep understanding of high net worth clients, Clyde possesses a strong history of successfully analyzing organizational performance and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance teamwork and deliver a differentiating claims experience for clients. Based in Salem, VA, Ms. Castolene will be responsible for leading ACE Private Risk Services’ nationwide Agency and Billing Services Center, Billing Department, and ACE’s NewMarkets Insurance Agency. She will report directly to Ms. Boyd.

Ms. Castolene joins ACE from a national carrier, where she spent the last nine years in a number of senior operational leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager for a Personal Lines Operations Center and as Regional Director for the company’s Western and Southwestern Regions in Middle Market and Specialty Programs. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of St. Joseph, located in West Hartford, CT, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University, located in Hamden, CT.
