ACE Announces Future Leadership Appointments for Australia
Appointments to become effective upon completion of ACE’s acquisition of Chubb*

Sydney — November 24, 2015 ACE Insurance Limited (Australia) today announced key leaders it intends to appoint to the new Chubb Group’s operation in Australia.

John French will serve as Country President of Australia and New Zealand. Currently, Mr. French is Country President, Australia and New Zealand, for ACE. Reporting to Mr. French and serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Australia and New Zealand will be Matthew Doquile. Currently, Mr. Doquile is Australia Country Manager for Chubb.

Juan Luis Ortega, ACE Regional President Asia Pacific, and also future Asia Pacific Regional President for the new Chubb Group, said: “We have a very strong team in Australia and New Zealand. Paul McNamee, ACE Deputy Regional President and Head of Property And Casualty for Asia Pacific, oversees our operations in Australia & New Zealand as part of his responsibilities. He will continue in this role for Chubb, combining his significant international expertise with John French and Matt Doquile’s local knowledge to build the success of our new organisation.”

About John French

Mr. French began his career with ACE in Sydney in 1997. He went on to manage both the Queensland and New South Wales state operations before being promoted to the position of Australian General Manager. He served as Country President of ACE’s operations in Singapore (2003-2005), Thailand (2005-2007) and Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau (2007-2014). He has been in his current role, leading the ACE Australia and New Zealand operations, since March 2014.

About Matthew Doquile

Matthew Doquile commenced with Chubb in 1996. He has worked in a variety of roles, including underwriting Financial Lines and Personal Lines. He also served in various senior management roles such as Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific. In July 2015, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Chubb in Australia. He completed an Executive MBA with the Australian Graduate School of Management.
