ACE announces two senior appointments within its Accident and Health team in South Africa.

ACE Group today announced two senior appointments within its Accident and Health (A&H) insurance team in South Africa.

Mike De Jong, currently Senior Manager, A&H for ACE in South Africa, has been promoted to the new role of Head of Accident and Health in South Africa. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for managing the performance and profitable development of key A&H portfolios including, corporate, affinity, direct marketing and travel, through various distribution channels such as online, brokers and telemarketing.

 

Mike has more than eleven years of insurance industry experience, including eight at ACE. In his new role, he will remain based in ACE’s Sandton office and will continue to report into Gary Jack, Country President for ACE South Africa. His promotion is effective immediately.

Ross Waterford, Regional Travel Manager for ACE in Asia Pacific, has been appointed to the new role of Travel Manager for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. In this new role, Ross will be responsible for managing the performance and profitable growth of ACE’s leisure travel portfolio in South Africa, as well as the company’s leisure travel partnerships in Africa.

Ross has ten years of insurance industry experience, five of which with ACE. In his role as Regional Travel Manager in Asia Pacific he managed ACE’s travel portfolio across 12 markets. In his new role, Ross will be based in ACE’s Sandton office and will report into Mike De Jong. His appointment is effective immediately.
