21 December 2016 — Chubb announced today the opening of its new branch at Batu Pahat in the state of Johor as part of its plan to expand its brand and distribution presence in the southern region of Malaysia.
As the 23rd branch in Chubb’s Malaysian operations, the new office is located strategically in the heart of Batu Pahat town. The new facility offers front office services to Chubb’s customers, agents and other intermediaries. In addition, the branch also has an Agent’s Corner where Chubb agents can transact new and renewal business. Together with the branches in Melaka, Johor Bahru, Segamat, Muar and Taman Pelangi, the Batu Pahat branch complements Chubb’s distribution network in the southern region of Malaysia. Other Chubb branch offices in Malaysia are located in the northern, southern, central and east coast regions as well as in the main cities in Sabah and Sarawak.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony for the Batu Pahat branch, Country President for Chubb in Malaysia, Mr. Steve Crouch said, “Given that Johor is thriving especially with the Iskandar Malaysia development project, there are clearly opportunities for Chubb to be in close proximity to this economic hot-spot. Together with the other branch offices in Johor Bahru, Segamat and Muar, the new Batu Pahat branch enhances our market reach in the southern part of the country making it easier for customers and agents to engage with us.”

The event was attended by some 80 guests including customers, business partners, agents and senior management from Chubb in Malaysia.
