Chubb has been judged Australia’s best in claims handling at the 2017 Mansfield Awards for Claims Excellence.
At the inaugural awards evening, held in Sydney on 13 July, Chubb was awarded the Gold Mansfield Award for overall excellence in claims as well as the SME Property and Casualty Award. Chubb was also a finalist for the Personal Lines Award at the event.
The Mansfield Awards is an annual Australian insurance industry event to recognise outstanding claims handling and highlight the crucial role claims professionals play within the wider industry. The event is named after British Lord Chief Justice Mansfield who introduced the industry to the princple of ‘utmost good faith’ more than 250 years ago.
The two wins at the Mansfield Awards top off other recent accolades for Chubb’s claims service in Australia, including the gold award for Claims Turnaround Times in the Insurance Business Australia 2017 ‘Brokers on Insurers’ Survey.
“The Chubb claims team applies craftsmanship to achieve a claims experience we are very proud of. As the only company to win more than one award and to be featured as a finalist in more than two categories, Chubb’s success at the inaugural Mansfield Awards reflects the focus and importance we place on offering the best claims service in the market,” said John French, Chubb Country President, Australia & New Zealand.
