Ho Chi Minh City, November 10, 2017 – Chubb today announced that its life and general insurance operations in Vietnam, namely Chubb Life Insurance Vietnam Company Ltd. (“Chubb Life in Vietnam”) and Chubb Insurance Vietnam Co., Ltd. (“Chubb Insurance in Vietnam”), jointly held their ‘Day of Service’ at the Cu Chi 2 Primary School in Ho Chi Minh City.
More than sixty staff volunteers from Chubb joined in a range of fun-filled activities with 400 students at the Cu Chi 2 Primary School. The volunteers donated gift packs to students and teaching aids to the school, and presented 40 scholarships on behalf of Chubb to help motivate the disadvantaged children in achieving their academic goals.
Chubb’s “Day of Service 2017” also offered a training course to help local students cultivate important life-skills at a young age. Hosted by professional trainers from EQ Cup Center, the interactive training session aims to equip students with skills and useful information, to prepare them for unexpected or challenging situations in life.
Chubb’s corporate social responsibility activities focus on the support of the local communities in which its employees live and work. Since 2012, the ‘Day of Service’ has been the annual event for Chubb’s employees across 11 Asia Pacific markets to dedicate their time to various local community projects during a designated week of the year. Their charitable outreach activities align with Chubb’s over-arching philanthropic support for increasing educational opportunities for underprivileged students, and improving the livelihood for individuals and communities.
