Bangkok, October 14, 2020 - Chubb Samaggi Insurance Public Company Limited (Chubb) today announced the appointment of Stuart Kerr as Head of Property & Casualty, Thailand, subject to regulatory approval. In his new role, he will oversee the underwriting for and provide operational direction and oversight across Chubb's Property & Casualty product lines in Thailand. In addition to his new appointment, Mr. Kerr will continue to be responsible for the overall operation and profitability of the Casualty portfolio in Asia as its Head of Casualty.

Mr. Kerr will be based in Thailand, and report jointly to Andrew Nisbet, Country President of Chubb’s general insurance business in Thailand, as well as Grant Cairns, Head of Property & Casualty, Asia Pacific.

Mr. Kerr brings 25 years of insurance knowledge and business leadership experience to the role. He joined Chubb in 2000 as a Casualty underwriter in London. During his time with Chubb, he has been involved in the underwriting and management of portfolios of local and multinational casualty businesses in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the United Kingdom.

In Mr. Kerr’s current role as the Head of Casualty for Asia Pacific, he is responsible for the management of the Casualty portfolio in the region including the financial management of the General Liability and Workers’ Compensation portfolios, the definition and implementation of Chubb’s technical underwriting appetite, product development, as well as guidance and training for the Casualty underwriters in the region.
