Chubb Life Indonesia launches “Chubb LifeBalance”, a Free 360° Personalised Health and Well-being App
Mar 31, 2022

The uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic means people are paying much more attention to their health and wellness. In response to this situation and to meet the needs of Indonesian people for a healthier life, PT Chubb Life Insurance Indonesia (Chubb Life Indonesia) announces the launch of Chubb LifeBalance, a 360-degree personal health and well-being app. The free to use app, which is available now in Bahasa aims to empower Indonesian people to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Kumaran Chinan, Country President of Chubb Life Indonesia said, “How many of us are aware that we should be living a healthier lifestyle? We know this is more important than anything, especially as the fight against COVID-19 and other diseases continues. This is why we are launching the Chubb LifeBalance app, an invaluable tool for every Indonesian.  It gives you the opportunity to control your lifestyle and physical and mental wellbeing through live updates of your individual health score and personalised guidance from your virtual coach.”

Chubb LifeBalance comprehensively assesses users’ lifestyle and provides a holistic view of health to help them objectively measure and manage their own health condition with personalised virtual coaching, designed by the world’s leading experts in all aspects of health, including nutrition, sleep, activity, and stress management.  It allows everyone to set their personal health goals, aligned to their health score, and provides daily prompts and inspiration to keep them motivated.

By answering a few simple questions about your weight, height, age and gender, Chubb LifeBalance automatically generates your personal health score. A score system built by reputable teams from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA, based on over 2,500 clinical papers and years of clinical data collected from over 300 million people. With a credible health score system, users can effectively monitor their overall health.

Talking about why Chubb Life introduced the app in Indonesia, Kumaran said, “Healthcare costs here have been rising for decades and are likely to keep going up, and medical bills can be a huge financial burden. We all know that prevention is always better than cure, and that by making positive choices we can reduce the health risks we face. Eating healthily, exercising, and being more mindful can lower the risk of health problems such as coronary heart disease and stroke, which are sadly the number one causes of death in Indonesia.  Everybody deserves to live healthier and happier lives, which is why we are launching Chubb LifeBalance and making it freely available for anyone in Indonesia.”

Chubb LifeBalance uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to help people improve their physical and mental health, as well as understand how to better manage their lifestyles. This includes working habits, stress management and diet, in turn helping to prevent common illnesses such as heart disease and stroke.

Chubb LifeBalance tracks and records over 115 different activities — including walking, running, yoga, swimming, cycling, and meditation. Users can invite their friends and family to join challenges and compete in these activities together. It connects with a full range of health devices and other apps such as Google Fit, Fitbit, Strava, Polar, Garmin and other devices.

Chubb LifeBalance is part of Chubb Life’s innovation in technology and is designed to complement the protection people get from life insurance.  It is a global initiative that has been launched in several countries including South Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

This app is now available in Bahasa and English and can be downloaded on the App Store and Google Play. To learn more about the app, visit chubb.com/chubblifebalanceid
