Chubb announces consumer division leadership for Australia and New Zealand

SYDNEY, 13 July 2022 – Chubb today announced joint leadership of Chubb's Consumer Division, Australia & New Zealand (A&NZ).

 

Amy McKellar, currently Consumer Manager for A&NZ, has been appointed as Chubb’s Head of Accident & Health (A&H) for the two countries. In this role, Ms. McKellar will be responsible for the strategic direction, management, growth, and profitability of the A&H portfolio. 

 

Michelle O’Dowd, currently Chubb's Head of Personal Risk Services (PRS) for A&NZ, will continue to lead Chubb’s accelerated growth ambitions for Chubb Home and Chubb Masterpiece for the two countries.

 

Ms. McKellar and Ms. O'Dowd will jointly lead Chubb's consumer division in A&NZ, effective immediately. Both will report to Peter Kelaher, Country President, A&NZ.

Ms. McKellar joined the company in 2006, taking on roles of increasing responsibility in Australia and North America. Between 2013 and 2017, she was Regional Underwriting Manager, A&H for the Midwest and between 2017 and 2019 she led Chubb's A&H portfolios for New York and the Northeast. Upon returning to Australia in 2021 she took the role of Underwriting Lead, A&H. Ms. McKellar's most recent position with the company was Consumer Manager, A&NZ.


Ms. O'Dowd had worked in several roles across sales and underwriting for Chubb in Canada and Australia.
