HONG KONG, December 4, 2023 – Chubb Life Hong Kong today announced the official opening of the Chubb Life Art Gallery in Chubb Tower, Hong Kong. Designed to be a unique, thought-provoking customer service center that doubles as a world of creativity and inspiration, the gallery will showcase immersive and interactive artworks by local and international artists aimed at inspiring existing and new customers. Chubb Life Hong Kong has also introduced a unique scent at the gallery, giving a feeling of serenity and sense of security to customers, allowing customers to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable environment while appreciating paintings at the gallery.

The theme of the inaugural exhibition is ‘Be the light of your life’ and highlights the empowerment of women in every walk of life. Housed in the newly launched customer center, the exhibition will feature artworks commissioned by Chubb Life Hong Kong and curated in partnership with ZtoryTeller, a Hong-Kong based platform that connects artists and writers from around the world to transform stories into collectible art.

In support of the Hong Kong art community, Chubb Life Hong Kong is collaborating with up-and-coming local artists in its inaugural exhibition– including Sophia HoTung, SiuLoy, Tio, Mateusz and Kaliz. To celebrate the opening of the gallery, a brand-new piece of interactive artwork by SiuLoy, inspired by Chubb Life’s long history and deep roots in Hong Kong, will feature in the exhibition.

New exhibitions will be presented at the gallery every quarter. Focusing on the journey of life as an artistic expression, the exhibitions will elevate every-day life scenarios, designed to encourage the gallery’s guests to pause and reflect.

MATEUSZ KOLEK

Mateusz Kolek is an illustrator based in Krakow, Poland. His work is known for its playful, psychedelic, and dreamlike style and heavily influenced by his many journeys to Asia, anime, manga, medieval art, science fiction movies and Slavic legends. Mateusz has held solo exhibitions "Alone Together" and "I wonder when it all began" in Poland, Australia, Hong Kong, and Japan. He also showcased his artwork-fashion pieces as a pop-up store in Harvey Nichols Hong Kong.

 

SOPHIA HOTUNG

Sophia HoTung is a Hong Kong writer and illustrator, best known for creating The Hong Konger art collection while bedridden due to autoimmune diseases. Sophia is the author of The Hong Konger Anthology, The Heist of Hooded Light, and her work has been exhibited across Hong Kong at the Digital Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair, Oi Ling Antiques, Soho House, and K11 ARTUS. As a disability advocate, Sophia channels proceeds from her art and books into initiatives for chronic disability issues, women’s rights, and arts and literature in Hong Kong.

 

KALIZ LEE

Kaliz Lee, is a Multidisciplinary designer born and raised in Hong Kong. She has won several international design and illustration awards with her sophisticated graphic designs including Wan-Ifra World Digital Media Gold Award, Golden Pin Design Award Selected, Winner of Hong Kong News Award etc. She has been shortlisted for World Illustration Awards by The Association of Illustrators (AOI).

 

SIULOY

Graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Siuloy is a multimedia artist who has participated in creative projects with worldwide brands and local singers, including Eason Chan and Terence Lam. Apart from paintings and illustrations, she specializes in animation production. With her signature drawing style, her work has gained great popularity in social media channels.

 

LI XIA

Li Xia is a talented painter hailing from France, whose captivating artworks have graced international exhibitions across Europe. Known for her ability to evoke a sense of tranquility and serenity, Li Xia's paintings have the unique power to transport viewers into a world of peace and calm. Through her brushstrokes, she seeks to convey love and tenderness, inviting audiences to experience the soothing embrace of her art. With each stroke of her brush, Li Xia creates art pieces that touch the hearts of those who appreciate the beauty and emotions captured within her works.
