Ho Chi Minh City, December 16, 2019 – Quang Thai Primary School in Thua Thien Hue Province opens on December 16, 2019. This is the eighth school funded by Chubb Life Insurance Vietnam Company Limited (Chubb Life in Vietnam) and the third project co-sponsored between Chubb Life in Vietnam and the Chubb Charitable Foundation, with the total value of VND2.5 billion (equivalent to US$107,500). On this occasion, Chubb Life in Vietnam has also awarded gifts to students at Quang Thai Primary School.
Under joint sponsorship of Chubb Life in Vietnam, Chubb Charitable Foundation, the Disaster Prevention Community Fund and local government, Quang Thai Primary School was built from the ground up, featuring two floors and six well-equipped classrooms that meet national standards, at a total investment of VND5 billion (equivalent to US$215,000). Once a run-down campus, the newly constructed school now provides learning facilities for nearly 350 students and serves as a safe haven for around 300 people in the event of natural disasters.
