Chubb Life Art Gallery presents "Every Love Lasts" in New Installment of Art Exhibition
Contemporary artist Ma Yujiang showcases eight paintings, evoking love that transcends time and space
Feb 18, 2025

Hong Kong, February 18, 2025 As part of its continuous support for the local art community, Chubb Life Hong Kong is proud to present "Every Love Lasts", an exhibition by contemporary artist Ma Yujiang, which portrays him growing up alongside his forever-young mother. Opening on February 19, 2025, at the Chubb Life Art Gallery, Chubb Tower, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, this is the third art installment co-curated by Chubb Life Hong Kong and local creative arts platform ZtoryTeller.

Ma Yujiang is a renowned Chinese contemporary artist currently residing in Hong Kong. His work is deeply influenced by traditional Chinese art and culture, along with everyday life experiences, and draws on his ideas of time, life, and existence.

"Every Love Lasts" features eight iconic paintings of Ma’s lifelong painting project "Mother and Child", more than half of which will be exhibited to the public for the first time. The art series begins with a cherished photograph of himself and his mother, who passed away when he was three years old. In memory of his mother, Ma paints a mother-and-son portrait each year as he ages from 1 to 37, while his mother remains perpetually 27. This contrast beautifully illustrates the enduring nature of love across time and space.

Chubb Life Hong Kong has also dedicated an entire white wall at the art gallery for Ma, who turns 37 in 2025, to create his latest painting in this series, onsite from February 19, 2025 to August 15, 2025.

Belinda Au, President of Chubb Life Hong Kong and Head of North Asia, said, “To openly share our wishes and love before it’s too late is so important in today’s fast paced environment. We partnered with Ma to curate a platform for meaningful conversations and deepen the connections we have. At Chubb Life Hong Kong, our products are thoughtfully crafted to ensure that customers' wishes live on, be it wealth, legacy planning or health protection.”

Also featured in the Chubb Life Art Gallery, a Love Letters Wall will showcase 50 envelopes filled with messages from individuals who have shared their thoughts and wishes through interviews. Each letter reflects the final words they would want to say to their loved ones. Visitors are invited to select and open any envelope in the hope that the contents will inspire meaningful conversations and remind us that Every Love Lasts, and it is never too late to express it. Alongside “Every Love Lasts”, Chubb Life Hong Kong will also support the upcoming Hong Kong Art Month by sponsoring local marquee art events, including The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Picasso for Asia—A Conversation, and Art Basel, the largest international art fair in the city.
