Chubb Indonesia and DBS Bank Indonesia Launch Cyber Guard, Strengthening Consumer Protection Against Growing Cyber Risks
Mar 16, 2026

JAKARTA, 16th March 2026 - PT Chubb General Insurance Indonesia (Chubb Indonesia), in collaboration with PT Bank DBS Indonesia (Bank DBS Indonesia), today announced the launch of Cyber Guard, a comprehensive cyber insurance solution designed to protect Indonesians from the rising threat of digital fraud and cybercrime.

Cybercrime is a growing concern in Indonesia. In the first half of 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Digital recorded up to 1.2 million reports of digital fraud, with financial losses reaching IDR 476 billion between November 2024 and January 2025. According to a Bank DBS Indonesia customer survey, the most common cyber incidents include unauthorized digital transactions, online shopping fraud, identity theft, and device hijacking.

Cyber Guard provides coverage for:

  • Unauthorized transactions on DBS credit or debit cards, including those resulting from the loss of an electronic device connected to a DBS payment card within the first 72 hours of the device being lost or stolen;
  • Account takeover caused by phishing, spyware, or malware; and
  • Social engineering incidents, where a customer is tricked into transferring funds to a third-party impersonating a trusted individual or entity, leading to financial loss.

Customers can claim up to IDR 50 million per month across any or all of these benefits, subject to terms and conditions.

Designed with flexibility and accessibility in mind, Cyber Guard is available with monthly or annual coverage periods, allowing customers to choose the protection that best suits their needs. Premiums start at IDR 60,000 for coverage up to IDR 10 million, and IDR 150,000 for coverage up to IDR 50 million with limits renewable every month.

The launch of this product reflects the shared commitment of Chubb Indonesia and Bank DBS Indonesia to deliver innovative, customer-centric protection for today’s digital lifestyle. Backed by Chubb’s global reputation and risk expertise, Cyber Guard is available to Bank DBS Indonesia’s customers through the bank’s telemarketing sales network.
