SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Asia Pacific, a part of the ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies, today announced the appointment ofDavid Phipp as Power Generation & Construction Head, Asia. Mr. Phipp will be responsible for the continuing growth and performance of ACE’s retail power, boiler and machinery (B&M) and construction portfolios in Asia.

Mr. Phipp joins ACE Asia Pacific from a leading international underwriting house in London. In his new role, Mr. Phipp will be based in Singapore and will report to Aaron Shead, Regional Vice President & Manager of Energy & Technical Risks, Asia Pacific. Mr Phipp will relocate to Singapore in June.

Mr. Phipp has over 20 years experience in power, B&M and construction classes and has held increasingly responsible roles in the United Kingdom prior to joining ACE. Mr. Phipp is a Chartered Mechanical/Marine Engineer and has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Lancaster University.
