SINGAPORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Insurance, part of the ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies, today announced its appointment of Michael Frazer as the Manager, Energy & Engineering, Asia Pacific. Michael currently holds a similar role in ACE Australia and New Zealand.

Michael has 13 years of Property, Energy and Engineering Underwriting experience with ACE Australia where he is based in Sydney. He will relocate to Singapore in January 2013 where he will join the Asia Pacific Regional team to position ACE as a market leading insurer in Energy, Construction and Power Generation.

Michael has over 10 years of Energy and Engineering underwriting experience with ACE and for the past four years has held the role of Manager for Energy, Utilities and Engineering for ACE Australia and New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma of Education, a Certificate IV in General Insurance as well as a Diploma of General Insurance.

On the new appointment, Jarrod Hill, Regional Head of Property & Casualty ACE Asia Pacific said “Michael’s passion for the business and experience with major Energy and Engineering accounts makes him a natural replacement for the incumbent Aaron Shead who has been promoted to Vice President, Energy/Property Underwriting, based in Bermuda.
